Vision & Values FAQ

What is your primary focus for student success?

My priority is ensuring every student has access to a curriculum that prepares them for the future, whether they choose university, trade school, or a direct career path. I believe in data-driven decisions that put classroom results and student growth first.

How will you involve parents in district decisions?

Transparency and open communication are vital. I plan to ensure all board materials are accessible and easy for parents to digest before votes occur. I have added a page on this website for the public to view the  previous school board meeting videos.  Your voice is a most important one for our schools.

What are your priorities for teacher support?

To keep the best educators, we must provide more than just competitive pay. I will advocate for curriculum that provides the best resources, reduced administrative burdens, and reduced class sizes in K-1 classes. I will listen to these professionals as they share their victories and concerns in the classroom.

How do you view fiscal responsibility in the district?

Every tax dollar should be treated as an investment in a child's future. I will conduct a thorough review of administrative overhead to ensure that funding is directed where it has the most impact: in the classrooms and directly supporting our students and teachers.  Taxpayers do not need any new referendums to add to their burden. We need to maintain a balanced budget.

Core Policy Positions & Goals

Recognizing several of our elementary schools received honors from the state for the high percentage of our students passing 2026 IREAD tests.

Equitable Resource Allocation

Ensuring that funding and staffing are distributed fairly across the district.

Prioritizing reducing class sizes  in Kindergarten and first grade classes.

Have sent several grant opportunities to interim Supt. Seth Slater in April and May to do just that.

Teacher Support & Retention

Championing competitive wages, adequate curricular resources, and a culture of respect for our dedicated educators, which begins with good leadership.

Families First

Great schools need a great community. Angela aims to bridge the gap between educational leaders and local families, fostering transparency and ensuring our schools understand Indiana's Parents Bill of Rights.

Promoting Student Safety

Strengthening school  procedures while fostering school culture where the students feel the administration is there to protect them.
